Alex Sedgwick was born in London in 1958 and studied at the universities of Oxford, Geneva and Queen's, Canada.
After working as an advertising copywriter in the 1980s, Alex taught himself how to use a large-format camera and embarked on a career as an architectural photographer. His commissions have included documenting and interpreting iconic buildings by such world-renowned designers as: Atkins, BDP, Chetwood Architects, Foster & Partners, Grimshaw Architects, HOK Sport, I.M. Pei and Rogers Stirk Harbour & Partners.
His photographs have appeared in numerous publications, including: The Architects’ Journal, The Architectural Review, Building, Building Design and The Independent.
